May 1949, Marthoma English Middle School was sanctioned. High school classes were started in 1954.The first batch came out in 1956. In 1958, The School was handed over to The MarThoma and Evangelistic Association Schools Corporate Management. SSLC Result of 1977 was the highest in Pathanamthitta District. Later, the school stood several tests of time and developed physically and academically by the grace of good God and through the dedication of several people. On 06-12-2000, Kunnam school was upgraded by the Government as a Vocational Higher Secondary School, with Computer Application and Medical Laboratory Technician as Vocational Subjects. The official inauguration was done by The MarThoma Metropolitan on 28-02-2001.This up-gradation was yet another instance which proved the unity and determination of the staff and local community for the progress of this "Saraswathikshetra". Moreover it was a golden step in the history of the school, which exposed the school to wider areas of activities and heights of glory. At this moment we look forward to a bright and prosperous future for this great school, and request the active support of all the existing students and parents, staff, management, local and state Govt. authorities and Alumnii above all.
